Semarang is small city. You can visit famous placeses in just one day. During my short visit to this city on November 2015, I managed myself to take a short tour to Lawang Sewu and Sam POo Kong. I walked from Dafam Hotel to Lawang Sewu. I took several picture and continued to visit Sam Poo Kong by Taxi, which cost me minimum standard Taxi’s fee.
Lawang sewu was built during dutch colonialization. To enter this area, you should pay entrance cost. Ancient stuff placed in several room, while another room was empty.

It was noon when I arrived at Sam Poo Kong. You should pay to enter the facilities and another ticket booth inside the are when you wanted to enter the praying area. It felt like i was in China. Those chinese building, statue, and dresses. You can rent traditional chinese costume. Sam Poo Kong had a very large yard in the center of the facilities. Big Red gate just like what you saw on TV when watching chinese movies.
